Uit de Hand

Lisa takes her fiancé to her father to share the happy news of their engagement. After her mother passed away, Lisa and her father have become estranged, mainly due to the fact that her father keeps his late wife alive in the form of a handpuppet. She tries to get through to her father one last time.

Marmermijn’s third film, featuring Elout Hol, Rik Witteveen, and Karlijn Koel.

‘Uit de Hand’ performed well at the 48 Hour Film Project Leeuwarden in 2018: it was runner-up for Best Film, won Best Actress (Karlijn) and Best Writing, and was nominated for Best Directing and Best Actor (Elout).

How far would you go to get the house of your dreams?

Apparently, some people go pretty far.

Verkocht! is Marmermijn’s second film, featuring Hetty Heyting, Karlijn Koel, and Jelle Mensink.

As an entry into the 48 Hour Film Project in Nijmegen in 2018, the film won Best Actress (Karlijn), won Audience Favorite, and was nominated for Best Directing, Best Ensemble, and Best Production Design.

It’s the story of a couple visiting their dream house, which is too expensive for them. Luckily, one of them sees a possibility for some ‘negotiating’, though he has no idea how far that will go.

Two clumsy burglars break into house to steal back what they lost.

We wrote, filmed, and edited this movie in just two days, as part of the international 48 Hour Film Project competition. For this, we created MARMERMIJN. The three of us had always wanted to work on films together, and we figured that this competition would be a perfect start.

We gathered a filmcrew of 25 wonderful, skilled people from around the country, and set out to create a fun and emotional story.

The 48HFP competition ends in a spectacular awardsceremony at the Noordelijk Filmfestival in Leeuwarden, which was quite the experience for us. Among numerous nominations and wins, we won the competition with the award for Best Film.
